I've started a calligraphy workshop given by Yomar Augusto. I'm enjoying to write in this slow and careful way.
Of course you have to practise a lot, to do it like Yomar in the picture below.

Yesterday i was at the designers' open festival in leipzig. Sometimes i'm a little bored of all the so called 'design' stuff,
but I really liked the courtyard of the Hôtel de Pologne, where all happend, arranged by Jo Zarth, Thomas Wrobel and
the Chinabrenner team.
Gratulations also to Atelier Hurra for their fabulous animation film »Ich-Apparat« which won the DO/Jury Award 2010.

i am so happy about this beautiful bunch of flowers which i bought yesterday. the little boy beneath it was drawn at our last ILLUMAT Action at the summer school party of our university. the wish was »a child is becoming a deer«.

ahrg...i was soo a lazy blogwriter last weeks! but, you know..., i will save you my excuses! short version: luzern (and whole switzerland) was great and absolutely swiss! at the moment i'm glad that the sun is back and my flatmates and i can pick flowers and make nice bouquets of them in our bathroom.

The last weekend i was with the ILLUMAT in Erfurt at the 'Kinder-Kult' fair. Next week we are going with our clever drawing machine to the Comicfestival Fumetto, in Swizerland! You can visit us there from 3. - 9. May 2010 at the Löwenplatz in Luzern.

i had some good days at the book fair in bologna. lots of impressions! topipittori is my new favorite childrens book publisher - especially Maja Celija and Joanna Concejo have some nice books there. i also like the work of Beatrice Alemagna.

Sorry that i didn't write but i was travelling the last weeks! My first stop was in madrid, than i went to cordoba, sevilla, cadiz and tarifa. After a short break in granada i went back home with friends by car. finally i'm here in good old weimar.

I spent the chrismas time with my family and friends at home in germany. It was very peacefull and cosy. Although i had the snow i missed in granada. Not to tell about the marvellous red chrismas trees, self-made snowglobes ( the girl on the sledge is made by thomas) and the beautifull chrismas atmosphere all over. I hope you all enjoyed the time.

wir sitzen in dieser bar, trinken nichtsahnend ein bier. plötzlich wird die markise eingefahren, die fenster darüber geöffnet und eine gruppe musiker tritt heraus und spielt wunderbarste sonntagnachmittag musik. hinter uns die abendsonne- wirklich unglaublich schön. wie in einem rosamunde pilcher film! aber ehrlich.
